Only Women Bleed?

Do fathers bleed
when their children are
taken away the way they say
mothers do?
Do fathers cry
inside deep in the night
holding a pillow
pretending
that it is their lost child?
Do fathers know
the pain that grows
deeper each second
they can feel their child beckon -
but they can't answer the call?
Do fathers hurt
and their hearts break
if the beautiful child that you both made
has his candle snuffed out before she's born?
Can a father weep, can a father mourn?
Yes, I can tell you
they do.
